General questions about Peneu are answered below. Every product guide and industry page also ends with its own questions; this page links to all of them.

About Peneu

The questions people ask first, with answers we can stand behind.

What is Peneu?

Peneu is a payment orchestration platform. You integrate once and connect to multiple payment providers, with routing, retries, failover, unified webhooks and reconciliation across them.

Is Peneu a bank or a payment aggregator?

This site doesn't claim any banking licence or RBI authorisation for Peneu. Regulated services, such as collecting and settling money, are delivered through licensed banks and authorised payment providers. Which ones, and who contracts with them, is set out during onboarding.

How does merchant onboarding work?

In stages: a conversation about your business, business and KYC checks, provider setup, integration and testing in a sandbox, then go-live. How long it takes depends on your business type, your documents and the services you need. The onboarding page lists what to prepare.

Which payment methods can I accept?

That depends on the payment providers connected for your business, and is confirmed during onboarding. The product guides on this site explain each method, such as UPI, cards, net banking and mandates, and which kind of regulated entity provides it.

How does Peneu approach regulation and security?

Payments run through regulated banks and payment providers, under RBI's directions and NPCI's operating rules for the systems involved. Peneu doesn't claim certifications on this site; details of its security controls, audits and any certifications are shared during due diligence.

What does it cost?

The pricing page lists three plans: Starter (free API access), Scale (₹14,999 a year) and Enterprise (contact sales). Transaction and usage charges are separate on every plan.

Do I need a technical team to integrate?

You need someone who can make HTTPS requests and handle webhooks on your server, or a platform that does it for you. Sandbox access is provided during onboarding, and the developers page lists the practices that make an integration reliable.

Where do I raise a complaint?

The grievance redressal page explains how to raise and escalate a complaint, what to include, and when a bank or payment provider's own process applies.

Does Peneu publish customer names or success rates?

Only once they're verified. Until then, the site describes how payments work rather than making claims you can't check; ask for evidence during due diligence.
